Brian May sets up government petition against the badger cull
Rock star and Academic Brian May recently set up a government petition to stop the badger cull, and it has had over 18,000 signatures in a very small amount of time. The petition is one where if it gets 100,000 signatures from the public in the UK, the topic must be debated. Anyone who is against the badger cull may find that this petition is of use to you as this is the 'one that counts'. The Badger Trust recently lost their legal battle in the court of the appeal on Tuesday against the badger cull, and with culling likely to start very soon due to licenses being ready and no legal opposition, it is vital that those of us who think the badger cull is the wrong option speak up now. This is your chance to put England's democracy to good use. Various sources have set that the petition is on track to reach 20,000 signatures by the end of today (16th September 2012). Another way in which you can help is by emailing your contact this address and/or sharing it on social media such as Facebook and Twitter if you are able to.
